Job Summary: |
Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all production activities required to produce overhauled RAM engines and accessories. Manages production schedule to ensure production meets output and quality goals. |

Essential
Duties and Responsibilities: |
- Help manage a staff of 7 shop supervisors, and approximately 37 employees in seven production shops, including Accessory Shop, Balance Shop, Case/ Cylinder Shop , Engine Assembly, Engine Disassembly, Test Cell/Engine Prep, and Welding/Machine Shop.
- Determine and manage personnel staffing levels, including interviewing, hiring, performance reviews and dismissal of employees.
- Training, cross-training and development of supervisors and employees.
- Analyze production data and keep records.
- Assist in determination of parts and product inventory levels to ensure production output requirements are met.
- Work closely with other department heads to promote scheduling, coordination, planning and communication.
- Assist other departments in development of products, projects, company goals and deadlines.
- Recommend process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned by Production Manager.

and Abilities:

- Ability to work extended hours.

- Must be able to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyze and resolve problems, and cope with deadlines.
- Should be analytical, detail oriented, flexible and decisive.

- Ability to use various testing equipment and troubleshoot systems.
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, schematics and technical publications.
- Knowledge of 200, 300 and 400 series Cessna and Beechcraft Baron and Bonanza aircraft desired.
- Knowledge of Teledyne Continental TSIO-520, GTSIO-520, TSIO-550, IO-520 and IO-550 engines desired.

Minimum Qualifications: |
- Supervision or management experience.
- Ability to develop working relationships and interact with others.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Previous aviation industry experience.
- A&P license.

Education and/or
Experience:
|
- High School Graduate.
- 3 to 5 years in manufacturing or production.
|
|
Preferred Qualifications: |
- Graduate of Aircraft Mechanic School desired.
- Business Degree.
